Teacher Assessment: Britney task
Britney Video
Looking at my final Britney video I think my group has done well. This is the first time we had copied a music video for and therefore the first time we had lipsynced therefore I think we did well with the lip syning and we all put lots of effort in trying to do the lip syncying rather than getting shyand embarressed. I also think we did the editing well, with a music video being such short shots it was a challenge for me to edit them all together, this was made even more of a challenge as we had to copy the exact order of britney. After lots of trying I think we got it quite spot on. To improve I think we could of thought more about costume and props so that all the way through Britney was dressed and to have the backing dancers dressed up aswell. Also I think we could of cast the people in the video better so that we had the same people doing the same parts. From doing this task I have learnt how to match editing up more, how videos are made up of lots of small shots and finally improved my lip syncing.

Production Diary Week 2
Week 2
We then begun shooting. Firstly we shot the lip syncing shots as they took the least preparation. These worked well for out first time but we need to a lot of practising for when we start out final video. We now started to film the rest of the shots including the dancing and group shots. This took a lot longer than we expected, as we had to keep learning the dances and if we was to do it again I would learn the dances before rather than just on the day. We managed to get the whole group dancing at the same time though, so once the shots were finished they looked good.
In the final video you can see the shots I am talking about, the lip syncing are the ones of the girl in the blonde wig around 22 seconds, 33 seconds. These were the final drafts and the ones that matched up the most. The dance shots are also the ones with the girl in the blonde wig, you can see how majority of the dancing is linked up well.

Production Diary Week 1
Week 1
To start A2 media we firstly discussed the coursework and was given an overview into what our coursework will be. The first task we began was to create a remake of Britney Spears video Hit me baby one more time. We begun by taking the video apart into shot by shot, explaining what happened in the shot, how long the shot took and if there was any editing or camera techniques. We did this well and it gave us a good guideline of what we had to video, if I was to do it again I would of added more detail into the props and mise-en-scene.
