Fountain

Here are the shots we took in south bank at the fountains. We really liked the background and the use of fountains which were really good lighting. But found this sometimes caused shot to look blurry. Our first problem with these shots were that we used both our star and narrative in the same location, once we recieved feedback that it became confusing to tell them apart, we decided we could use both of these. Also because they was confusing to tell the difference we have decided to not use any shots of the narrative looking towards the camera, in many of these shots she was so we have decided to only use the lip syncing shots. When it came to editing we realised that these shots didnt have the best lighting so we will not be able to use many.

From this we have learnt that we need be more aware of how outside lighting will effect our shots.

Tabel

Here are one of the first set of lip syncing shots that we filmed. We chose a location in london. Firstly we was put of using these shots as they was in the same location as the narrative that we had used previously. At first we was going to use these shots, but we found they looked a bit impersonal and that the location was taking over, also it didnt look professional as there was people/uneeded props in the background. After doing these shots we found that it might be more personal to do the lip syncing shots behind plain background so that our artist stood out.

Pole shots

Here are more shots of our narrative. We have decided not to use these shots, firstly they look very put and not natural. Also there are lots of people in the background taking the view of the actress. We also didn't like the way she kept looking at the camera as it caused a confusion between star and narrative. Finally you can see the reflection of the filming in the background.

Shisha

Here are the first shots we have taken. This is part of filming is for the narrative part. It shows the main narrative with her friend, they are doing shisha and we have tried to enphasise that they are having fun by showing them laughing. We have also tried some tracking shots. We liked the close up of the narrative blowing the smoke into the camera. We also liked the mid shots of the two of them looking at eachother laughing as it shows they are having fun. We found that the best ones of these was where they looked natural. We didn't like the shots that were tracking as they was quite shaky. Finally we didn't  like the high or low angle as they are not very flattering.

Production Diary Week 14

Now out video was planned we decided to try out some practice shots, we begun with the "photobooth" shots we wanted. From practicing theses we realised that we couldn't have our artist and narrative in the same shot. Also we decided they would look better with more people. Finally we decided the props could be better fitted with out colour scheme that we are going to use throughout.

Practise Shots

One of our original ideas was to have our narrative in a photoshoot with her friends. This fits in with our song firstly as our narrative is about her being seen happy with her friends as she has got over her boyfriend. It also fits in with the lyrics "freeze frame, I dodged that shot". We have decided to practice these as we wasn't sure how best it would to make it portray as they was in a photobooth. We decided to do the camera as if it was the photobooth. We have decided we like it this was. We also wanted to try different props and poses to see which worked the best we decided we liked the group shots better, but also with parts of the actors by themselves. We also added photos but we found that they stood out to much. Finally we think that for these to work well they have to look natural and like the actors are having alots of fun, also we do not think the artist should be in these shots as she is a separate part of the video.

Risk Assessment

Crossing Roads.	Filming up London we will have to cross many busy roads. There is a risk of me or one of my group members getting hit by a car.	To prevent this, my group and I will make sure we always use a crossing (if one is available). We will also make sure we are aware of our surroundings at all times.	High
Traveling to and from our destination.	We will have to get trains and tubes to reach our several destinations. There could be a risk of one of us falling on the tracks.	To prevent this we will make sure we are calm and don’t rush anywhere.	High
Traveling in rush hour.	We expect to be finished filming around 5-6pm. As this is rush hour the trains and streets will be very busy. There could be a potential risk of my group and I getting split up in the crowd.	To prevent this we will all make sure we save our phone battery throughout the day so if one of us does get lost we can contact each other.	Medium
Handling glass.	Another location we will be filming at is my house. When filming here we will be handling glass. There could be a risk of someone dropping the glass and further resulting in someone cutting themselves.	To prevent this we will make sure we don’t mess around when handling the glass.	Low
Painting.	We plan to use paint to smudge over our artist’s body. This could potentially get into someone’s eye or on someone’s clothes.	We will be very careful when applying this and also wash our hands after wards to prevent this.	Low
Tripping over wires.	When filming inside we will have wires around because of lighting that we will be using, therefore someone could trip.	Before we begin to film we will make sure we all know where hazard wires may be and also try to make the walk space we are using as clear as possible.	Low
Weather.	Our artist will have to stand in a range of clothing outside and inside. If she is wearing an outfit that reveals her arms and legs she could become cold as we are in winter. Also the other members of the group could become cold whilst filming too.	To prevent this we will all make sure we wrap up warm and have a coat on standby   for everyone who will be filmed.	Medium
Falling off Skateboard.	We are filming using a skateboard, however our actress has never used one and isn’t steady on it. We need to be careful that when using the board she doesn't fall off and injure herself.	To prevent this we will make sure she takes her time with what she is trying to do and practices beforehand. Round about in park.	Playing on the round-about in the park we need to be careful one of us doesn't fall off or get our foot stuck under it when trying to spin.	Although in the shot the actors are supposed to be messing around, when filming we will be very conscious of what we are doing.	Low
